Here we are at the root of the big spiritual tree called Reiki. Usui Reiki - the system of energy and consciousness work that is based on Mikao Usui – is that system that caused an enormous opening in the West and without that the whole development of the spiritual, healing and esoteric movement surely never would be where it is today.

Usui Reiki consists of three degrees. The first degree awakens and seals the flow of the universal energy in our system, the second degree gives us tools (three powerful symbols) that help us to work more consciously on the soul, body & spirit, whereas the third degree, often called the master/teacher degree, conveys with the last symbol a powerful key to the completion of the soul becoming a human being as well as the knowledge and ability to transmit the three degrees to other people.
